The technique
Technically it concerns with Attila at a slightly reamed variant of Rome 2, the optics has been refined in some details on, especially so act the battle cards very detailed and can come up with some new effects. The game is very stable and is already highly optimized performance. Since the game was developed on the basis of Rome 2, but you can presuppose this well.
Gameplay
Game Mechanical remains basically all the same. Total War is and remains Total War. Armies dig, manage provinces appease the people, pillage on the map. Has been improved and made clearer in my opinion, especially the domestic policy, appoint holders of city, officials etc. which can clearly comprehensible and makes the resulting consequences more clearly than was the case in Rome 2. In many other menu has been simplified, and improves clarity.
Equally comfortable I feel somewhat increased game speed. On the campaign map shift units faster, the circular calculations run flash rapidly, the unit movements during real-time battles are a bit faster and more directly, the gameplay feels a total of slightly more dynamic than previous titles.
Interface
The interface has been initially adjusted optically to the setting of the game, it is kept dark and plain. In addition, it has a slightly stylized look what places some "playful" acts. Pure taste or habituation thing, so far I can not put up with it so right. But the most striking change to the interface is probably the disappearance of the unit banner both on the campaign map, as well as during the fighting be. These were replaced by icons on the floating units. For me, a change whose benefits I can not recognize and which absolutely do not like, for me a small break with tradition. But otherwise everything is in its usual place and most of the functions can be found quickly.
Conclusion
Owners of previous Total War parts, especially of Rome 2 must be aware that this title does not bring any major innovations or new gaming experiences with them. Who is, however, a fan of the setting, or simply want to experience a new range of units and battles and open a new chapter in world history, which I can absolutely recommend this very solid game.
