Then I some research and experimented. I have come to the conclusion that the (voltage) threshold level above which uses the battery warning is set generally quite high in this action. If one uses batteries that something "knees weak" are terms of voltage and themselves discharged more quickly than others (and I discovered that comes unfortunately more common than you might think), then the above problem with this camera is virtually inevitable, because it is now times when it comes to the voltage of the battery, very "demanding".
Here is my 2 tips that have the early warning battery completely eliminated with me:
1) anti shake setting set so that it is even active only when recording. Permanently activated which is namely an incredible power-hungry and "pulls" constantly during the picture composition to the battery.
2.) Using SANYO eneloop !!!!!!!!! They innately a slightly higher basic tension and keep this incredibly stable! And what's even added the sensationally low self-discharge (information to also here at Amazon). Not by the relatively small capacity (1900 mAh) be deterred! The Canon 720 and similar Cams need voltage stability! If that is not enough available, no amount of mAh help nix!
Got the Eneloop batteries about 3 months ago, together with a high quality battery charger bought (Combi Pack at Amazon), at the beginning is "refreshed" and have since the first set is still in the camera! Even after nearly 300 photos I still see no battery warning! I'm curious as to when that comes ... :-)
Am the way, not a Sanyo employee !! But I am glad that my A720 finally working as it should and want other people to spare (senseless) service Odysseys.
