First of all: In principle, I can shoot the many positive reviews about the device characteristics, Panasonic builds shapely, functional and very quiet devices.
Unfortunately, it looks in my experience but bad for the longevity of the device from.
After 3 1/2 years of use time, the freezer and the refrigerator compartment for meat have failed in my device. A first Google search revealed that this defect in the relevant forums is described several times and thus apparently occurs more frequently.
A call to the competent service center for me (distance from me: 75 km) was due to the described by me problems a definite diagnosis: defective compressor - total loss. The local staff - all very friendly and helpful - immediately allocated a goodwill application to Panasonic, and the next day I received a response:
Supplementary payment of nearly 400 EUR Panasonic offered me on the current model NR-B32FX2-XE. One in my opinion very fast and appropriate response, which I would like agreed. But what comes next is one but unfortunately under the heading "willed and failed":
The unit had been delivered to the responsible service center, which operates as an independent subcontractor for Panasonic and therefore must also provide their own costs. For the delivery of the device to my house additional delivery costs of around would. 250 (!) Euros formed of. The payment would be therefore amount to 650 Euro - incl. Delivery is but to have the device at best providers already for 820 euros, so that one can no longer speak of a true sign of goodwill here. Furthermore, I was told that delivery would take about 4 weeks - unreasonable for a family of four with two young children.
Conclusion: A nice device, as long as all goes well. A total loss in a device that costs around 1,000 euros, in my view, however, completely unacceptable. At the very least I would expect in such a case, a voice in the Grace process. Everyone involved has to be m. E. very concerned - the result is a total, however, sobering.
As a result, I have the "goodwill offer" rejected and bought for 70 euros more the current winner of Bosch. The still has approx. 20 liters more storage space and consumes about 100 kW / h of electricity per year less. Too bad, Panasonic.
