Positives:
+ Original story
Since I am interested in the Germanic gods faith I find the story very well. Sometimes it is a bit Sinnfrei, but it's fun in the Teutonic world fighting.
+ Very good battle tactics and presentation
Thus a representation of the fights I have seen in any game, at least not in Germany! See for yourself. Very brutal and fun. One can learn different combat tactics as the game progresses so.
Magic is also available, but only 3 types (fire, ice, electricity).
+ Clear map
That it was actually for the better. We come to the negative:
- Lifeless world
no animals, little plants that move just a bit back and forth in the wind, little variety
- Any variety of enemies, NPCs
there may be 6-7 Different enemy types to which you always meet, otherwise you will meet only on the Vikings (apart from the gods). The Steinmetzte are Vikings with helmets and swords, the woodworkers, the workers, etc on a vineyard ...
I find that very unfortunate, all look the same. This gives the game no depth. It is fortunate that there are also a few women among the Vikings.
- No objects (except the quest items)
Also a pity. One can not nicely equipped with armor and weapons.
-no side quests / side stories
In Viking there is only the main quest. In order to fulfill this you need eg many Vikings free so they will guide you on the battlefield aside. These are not side quests for me. This can of course also be produced no game depth.
- No leveling
The hero does not reach Level. It collects only gold and it can buy new combat tactics or spells.
Too bad that you have to pay for a ancestor-spirit with gold needs to learn something. What he can do so in Walhalla well ?!
As you can see my review, there is a lack of the game as some. Still, it is fun to play and to massacre by the dark hordes.
So I can recommend buying the game as long as you 's a preference for Slay Hack has games.
Perhaps SEGA brings with out a sequel, which I sincerely hope will be in paid more attention to the details and more effort is given.
