The Dark Saga is a concept album that the subject of the movie "Spawn" behandelt.Es is about a man who dies and the devil sold his soul to his great love wiederzusehn that has married his best friend, etc. The music on the Dark Saga is dark, emotional and melodic than its predecessors, and the songs are less complex, but by no means boring or uninspiriert.Neben headbanging songs like "Violate" or "The Last Laugh" can be found with "I died for you" and a flawless Metal ballad again. Of particular note is still "The Hunter", because that is certainly one of the top 5 Iced Earth songs. All this makes The Dark Saga for best publication to date.
