Because Kendrick Lamar is not for nothing that the new "King of the West Coast" and is also justly known as one of the most talented (if not the most talented) newcomers. He notes in his album "Section.80" impressively demonstrated.
16 tracks long entertains us Kendrick incredibly articulate, with a great flow, a versatile voice used and extremely matching beats. Sometimes you may not believe that this is his first project Commercially available, so versed and experienced he raps on "ADHD" his lines down. He changes his flow, the pitch goes up with the changes in the beat, as if there is nothing simpler than that. And so it goes on forever. Totally relaxed tells Kendrick stories from his life, often generates a dreary, and yet life-affirming view (eg "Kush & Corinthians") while delivering the full bandwidth from. From Gehässigkeits anthems ("The Spiteful Chant") on System-criticism with appeal character ("HiiiPower", "F ** k your ethnicity") by rap Olympics ("Rigamortus") to real-life stories ( "Keisha's Song").
Lyrically particularly successful are in my opinion the title which are provided with a second title - ie "No Make-Up (Her Vice)", "Tammy's Song (Her Evils)", "Poe Man's Dreams (His Vice)" and " Keisha's Song (Her Pain) ". Here powerful stories are played very impressive, or even with "No makeup" pointed to a problem, what we actually all know: Beautiful woman uses too much makeup and loses its unique beauty. The features combined with the really successful Beats and effectively used produce an incredibly balanced overall picture. Simpel in mechanics, and yet infinitely complex in execution.
When it comes to the highlights of this year, "Section.80" should thus actually on each list are. Kendrick is on its way to become one of the truly great. Because in America, he has aroused, despite rather weak sales massive attention. It should, for example several times on Dr. Dre's legendary album "Detox" be represented. His future is completely rosy. Especially since he was able to publish this debut without pressure, and the expectations of almost all exceeded by far. Unrestricted buy recommendation - especially for the price that Amazon calls this!
My Favourites 5:
1. No makeup - Great production, great theme that was lyrical strongly implemented.
2. Keisha's Song - also very well produced, also still an almost thrilling story that tells us there Kendrick.
3. ADHD - Just a great sound - Beat, Flow and Text grab wonderfully together.
4. HiiiPower - J. Cole has made at the controls everything right - Kendrick convinces with again strong flow and informal Aufrappelparolen.
5. Hol 'Up - very casual Sonically, but Kendrick brings very good, partly provocative Lines.
