Burnin '(Audio CD)

Customer Review

As the Wailers in the summer of 1973 in the Dynamic and Harry J's Studios "Burnin`" recordings, probably knew no one (the protagonists probably included) that this second album Iceland also simultaneously the last joint (studio) project of the three founding members of the band should be. Nevertheless remains "Burnin`" (at least for me) one of the best and unerreichtesten (reggae) albums in music history. While the collaboration of the two evil brawlers Bob Marley and Peter Tosh with "Get Up Stand Up" in spite of everything achieved an extremely moving and fulminalen climax, the youngest "founding Wailer" Bunny Livingston convinced once more under the skin continuous texts and a grandiose voice. Also, the six musicians reflect once again on relics from the past and let here their old classics "Duppy Conqueror", "Small Axe" and "Put It On" shine in a completely new and unimagined glory. What would be Marley, Tosh and Livingston but without the "second" half of the band? Even the organist "Wire" Lindo and the two Barrett Brothers Calton and "Family Man" show to "Burnin`" again in absolute top form and make the album and the Wailers to what it is and they are - incomparably good.
All in all, a thoroughly gelungens and great work, even after the tenth fortuitous still makes your mood and who holds "Burnin`" seriously for a "Summer Album" and "Easy Listening" I'm sorry and Ehrich should the CD get back to the store - because who has nothing, absolutely nothing of the terms, what is at stake in the Wailers and their music!
