"Combat Rock" is the swan song of the Clash, as innovative group which is open to all kinds. Walking through funk, dub, ska and jazz, the group takes to sink into self-destructive draft, lays a sincere and thoughtful work, which intrigues by the diversity of its sounds and its paces (I will seem like con, but "Should I Stay or Should I Go" is the only song Clash with "Bankrobber" I do not like at all). In any case, far from their best album, it still remains an endearing disc by its inventiveness and its strangeness ("Dead Is A Star", which perfectly completes the odyssey of the Clash).
