A few days ago, the European Commission has announced the acquisition of EMI by Universal approved on the condition that different bands and labels have to be sold elsewhere, including Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode and Coldplay. This makes a back painfully clear that there is in this business solely by one: Profit! Coldplay is an economic good, and to sound the last plates. Costed down to the last penny. Trimmed to ground. The secure business - the cash cow. The boys can one actually do just sorry because I can not imagine that the last two albums correspond to their own claim. Presumably, they are so caught up in the business, surrounded by sycophants, corrupted by all sorts of amenities that they no longer notice it, that they have given any artistic control, although "duet" with Rhianna could be the latest in a noisy. Whoever finds the current output of Coldplay well, is a glutton, not gourmet (sorry to all the 5-star reviewers). I for one stay gourmets, make me always on the lookout for new culinary delights, regional specialties, old varieties and fresh, organic ingredients. I have fond memories of the time when I Coldplay tasted very good, before it was made suitable for mass production with flavor enhancers, sugar, fat and colorful plastic packaging. It is a consolation that at least the artistic works of Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode can be destroyed not by economic pressures in this extreme form. (There are now only 3! Major Labels) Last but not least I would like to say that this one does not necessarily go "path of least resistance" as an artist, even if it's hard ... see Prince ("Symbol"), Radiohead etc ...
