Catchy, melodic, sweet: Timbaland invites you to the second Star casserole

If you were to let pass the last decade about musical revue, one can not ignore the name Timbaland. Ostensibly, he is a producer, the highly successful supplying, among other things Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake and Madonna even with sound. I was very skeptical when I read the preliminary cast of the latest Timbaland album on the Internet. JoJo, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers will be one of the party? Timbo provides again a very catchy pop album with crisp beats, quiet moments and light rock influences. Admittedly not sound a song on Shock Value II particularly imaginative. Some melodic elements you have probably heard in other Timbaland productions, only in different variations. The rhythmic song of recycled material is enhanced, however, by the final cast list that makes you curious. The Jonas Brothers have fortunately not lost on the album, but for Katy Perry and Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. The usual suspects, who shone in the first Shock Value album already with Hitpräsenz, are present again: Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson and OneRepublic. The prominence brings Timbaland's sound then convincing to the audience further. Who creates the extraordinary extent and with which song? Now follow my personal highlights.

CARRY OUT (feat Justin Timberlake.): At first, I found the song by its constantly recurring melodic fragment tiring and annoying. By the time I got taken a liking to the track and he has produced a catchy tune. 8/10 *

Lose Control (feat JoJo.): The first real highlight takes place through the participation of JoJo. I would not have thought it possible, but the title fruchtet total! MORNING AFTER DARK (feat SoShy & Nelly Furtado.): The collabo provides the main reason at all in listening to this album. This is truly the classic Timbaland production, which is expected as a fan of the musical emphasis. What in this version does not fit so that is part of Nelly Furtado, who was probably squeezed later in the song. Originally the song was only designed with SoShy. Nelly Furtado has one well-integrated only from public appeal reasons. Although I admire Nelly Furtado about everything, I have to admit that my version without them like better. 9/10 *

EASE OFF THE LIQUOR: The only number without prominent support - should lead to heart absolutely. It begins with hard beats and ends surprisingly in southern flair. 8/10 *

We recommend also the quieter title Undertow (feat. The Fray), Timothy Where You Been (feat. Jet, also with nice rap Lyrics by Timbo) and of course MARCHING ON (feat. OneRepublic), which the most commercially successful coupling of Shock Value II represents.
Is there a title which is not so successful? Especially the Katy-Perry-number IF WE EVER MEET AGAIN will not fire right. The high expectations of the collaboration were disappointed the song splashes to himself. Even WE BELONG TO MUSIC with Miley Cyrus looks compared colorful, although the number is not one of the highlights.

Once again, a manageable range of artists from the world of pop obliged to support him in the second part of his project Timbaland Shock Value. The 2009 successor is indeed considered as a whole by no means as strong as the 2007 record, but the overall concept of catchy melodies, well-known voices and a mix of up-tempo and mid-tempo songs seems to be working again.
