How the protagonist Peer Gynt, from the poem Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen, who takes refuge in a dream world, it creates "kidnap" Herbert von Karajan with the Berlin Philarmonikern, listeners in other worlds. The beautifully composed by Edvard Grieg suites, which have been inspired by the poem, are von Karajan and "his" orchestra flawlessly, emotionally, different / varied, played. The emotional parts (Aase's Death, Death ... Solveig), are just as successful as the very well-known, spannugsgeladene piece "In the Hall of the Mountain King".
