Idiosyncratic nice also appears sound. Drums and guitars in wondrous and distorted manner, targeted breaks and loops as well as plenty of synthetic machining offer the 11 songs. It actually always the vocals of Ms. Gibbons is in the foreground. On later albums Portishead be reversed this principle often. The sound will also appear more angular and complicated, sometimes goes to the limit of the audible. But here on DUMMY is nothing yet to feel and so this is the catchiest and most straightforward album of Portishead.
In addition to brilliant classics GLORY BOX and SOUR TIMES it gave me especially songs like Wandering Star (the so wonderfully monotonous in sound resonates in front of him); IT'S A FIRE (a fine accompanied by organ sounds ballad) and BISCUIT (the wonderfully oblique with retro elements and extremely strong vocals comes) done. Actually, everybody has his own title fascinating charm and each works in its own way for himself. And so this also excited even after 19 years and it will probably continue to do so in another 19. This is called well timeless music, this applies generally to Portishead to who create music with their style that at no time you listen age
