The mixture of melancholy and listlessness maintained that Lana del Rey celebrated on ULTRAVIOLENCE, sounds at times interesting and great, but then again also exhausting or even boring. The problem with this plate is simply the monotony, 15 songs darzubieten without any change in a kind of harmony is permanently been hard to bear.

The songs are by no means inaudible sound every man for himself even quite good in their own way, and the voice and the vocals of Lana del Rey're now truly not bad either. But if you can remember right at the end of an album does not only melody is there but what went wrong. Half a year after publication of ULTRAVIOLENCE is nothing more to be heard in the media that, there are more hits from the first album Lanas who are still running everywhere up and down today. The chance of the 2nd album has somehow missed it, and as measured by the debut of this album was probably at most a moderate commercial success. Curious can then be on the 3rd album where Lana pulls it out hopefully, otherwise there is the way in the musical insignificance.
