Since I changed for the first time to a collective agreement with, I'd like to gradually describe my experience here. As the number porting expired and as my experience with the O2 network so far are (mobile: Moto G, 1.Gen without LTE).
VLT. time advance: I personally noticed no significant differences here in Munich. When I'm out on the town, I have full reception in both networks. Also in closed rooms (Uni, home) is the reception quality fine. While there are inside 2 instead of 4 bar (both E-Plus, than with O2), but I can not detect any difference in voice quality or Internet speed. An explicit Internet Speed Test, I have not done, but sites were (subjectively) loaded very quickly, so I'm pretty happy with it personally. Unfortunately I am not yet possess LTE capable phone, I can in this regard (still) do not say anything.
Now we come to number portability:
- On 04/19/2015 I ordered here on Amazon which WinSIM LTE Mini 1000 package for 9.99.
- At 21:04. (12:30 clock) was already the SIM card in my mailbox. In the package was a standard SIM card, from which one could break out a Micro-Sim or a nano-SIM card (depending on what you need halt); the activation code for now-active (dot) de, and a Quick Start Guide with the most important information.
- At 14:54 clock I then wrote to AldiTalk (AldiTalk (at) e plus (dot) de) an email that you please like to share my number for porting to WinSIM that enough money for number porting (24,95) was on my prepaid credit account and that you could (be found on the page AldiTalk) the filled in and scanned consent for number transfer, see the e-mail attachment. On the remaining balance I refrained.
- At 14:55 clock was an automatic response that my e-mail was received by them.
- At 15:12 clock, I got a text message from AldiTalk that my porting request is now active.
- At 15:13 clock nor I received an e-mail response from Aldi Talk that the costs have been deducted from my bank account and I'm looking for the next steps could now turn to the new provider.
- At 15:15 clock, I went with the activation code from the starter pack on the side now-active (dot) de and were there first my customer data. Then it went to the Schedule (!). Here you then specify the option that you want to port their current phone number. I clicked: I want my phone number immediately [] take (MNP). The next step is granted even a SEPA mandate and ultimately graduated from completing the order.
- At 15:20 clock came from WinSIM the email that my order was received by them.
- At 15:30 clock I received in an e-mail my order number with an order summary, the cancellation and the tariff details.
- 5 minutes later I received an e-mail with my login information for WinSIM online world.
- At 18:41 clock received in an email from WinSIM then the info that my WinSIM card is activated with the ported number on 29/4/2015. Also, I was informed that I could find the PIN and PUK numbers at any time in the WinSIM service world.
- 21:59 clock still came a text message from AldiTalk that porting will be held on 29.04.2015 and the contract deactivation is performed on 28.04.2015.
Until 04/29/2015 nothing happened, I continued to use as usual my Aldi Talk prepaid card.
On 29/04/2015 by 1 clock at night I turned on my phone and then from going to sleep. In the morning (7 am) I turned off the cell phone again and realized that I had no reception on the AldiTalk card. I began the WinSIM card from the starter pack and behold: Full reception :-)
(1-2min later came a couple of SMS WinSIM with the new settings)
I hope I could take some of this recession, the fear of number portability. As I said, I'm doing this for the first time and was surprised at how easy it works (at least from Aldi Talk to WinSIM ^^).
