An indicator strip indicates when the blade needs to be replaced. The "Lubrastrip" which is attached to the three blades of the razor head around, I personally do not particularly important as I always use a shaving gel. In order to test the shaver properly, I moistened my skin the first few times with water and then shaved. The blades of the head are nice sharp, but feel something scratchy on the skin. From "Lubrastrip" I have not noticed. Even my previous disposable razors had since effective care strips. Cleaning the head turn is very simple. Rinse with water, dry and short finish.
For those who appreciate the ingredients of "Lubrastrip":
PEG-115M, PEG-7M, PEG100, Silica, Tocopheryl Acetate, pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-Butylhydroxyhydrocinnamate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, tris (di-t-butyl) phosphite, BHT, Glycol
On the plus side is that the blades on all Venus razor fit, so are suitable for various applications. Really bothered me, however, the lack of a small plastic protective cap for the razor. I do not like to take off the razor with open blade somewhere. A real minus point. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the Venus Embrace razor.
