I tend to prefer black and white photos for their poetry and their sobriety, I think Uwe Ommer managed to bring it in its colors compositions. Sometimes I have the impression of seeing the paintings, with colors slightly desaturated and soft, or united and tones. I thought I saw "the girl with the pearl" in book medium with a large necklace with small shells. And there was this commitment to not add any text to photos, even page numbers, which I find very interesting: it allows me to dive and stay "image mode" from beginning to end without pranks in the mind every time I see a number or blah. The format of this book is ideal for me, the photos are great without me having to step back to observe; more most are on one page, no boredom duplicate photos page marred by the binding. A charming collection of photos, where the woman is beloved and accessible.
