My idea was:
- Price up to 150 euro
- Persistent, replaceable battery possible
- Good display, at least 4.3 inches
- One-handed operation possible and pockets fit
- Liquid operation while surfing (no elaborate games)
- Good phone function
- Any memory card expansion slot (depending on the size of the internal memory)
Advance let me say that after thorough Rechereche except the LG L9II following smartphones shortlisted were: Moto G, Huawei G525, Alcatel One Touch Idol 6030th
The Moto G is a real flatterer and provides an amazing amount of technology for very little money, but the battery is no memory expansion is permanently installed and possible.
When Huawei G525 like the price, the features and the screen quality, unfortunately, it has rather moderate battery life.
The Alcatel One Touch Idol guests with its high-quality look and feel and a good display, but even here the rather small-sized battery is not replaceable and no memory card slot available (internal with 16 GB of memory for my use but also not necessary)
Decisive for the purchase of LG L9II was in addition to fulfilling all my buying criteria of price (I have for 149 euros found in an electric market) and the brilliant HD display with extremely compact housing dimensions.
I use the phone for two months now and do not understand why it does not find in spite of good test results more attention among buyers.
The 4.7-inch HD screen is an absolute eye-catcher and provides real pleasure while surfing. Even in direct sunlight it can be read easily. That there is no automatic brightness control, does not bother me.
Since you can greatly reduce the brightness without sacrificing quality within rooms, "eats" the display surprisingly little battery. All colors are faithfully reproduced.
The touch screen responds perfectly, the system runs smoothly, without stuttering or even crashes - I am excited!
One-hand operation thanks to the almost delicate design ensures even for woman hands. So much display in such a compact housing dimensions probably has no other mid-range smartphone !!
On the plastic outfit of LG L9II I had accustomed myself to the noble metal case of my Samsung Wave. However, it is standard in this price range. Due to the very narrow frame around the display does not leave much room for design, the housing is, however, processing properly.
With its 120g the LG L9II a true lightweight and looks almost filigree - for me first time unfamiliar. But if you carry it in your shirt pocket, you will appreciate the low weight safely.
The voice quality when making calls is clearly on both sides. Met requirements to 100%.

The battery lasts in my section for 3 days. (Average Usage Per Day:. Calls about 20 minutes, some SMS and Whats App and about 1.5 hours of active screen (surfing, "simple" games)) So I am very satisfied. And that it can be replaced in case of failure and not the entire device must be discarded, my idea of sustainability and environmental protection.
The music playback can I find a total of a bit worse than my old Samsung Wave and the supplied headphones a bit uncomfortable. Here you can still achieve with high-quality headphones ensure better sound.
The Navi is quick and reliable and its satellites is through the display size quite usable as a full navigation system. The voice playback is loud enough and easy to understand.
And now to the camera: My demands on a mobile phone camera it is absolutely fair. The shooting with flash have more snapshot quality, in low light conditions there's nothing to complain about. And who wants to take pictures properly, do not do that anyway with a mobile phone.
Well, I like the straightforward selection of preinstalled apps: Facebook is not present, but there is for example a guest mode in which you can restrict the use of mobile phones, if you are the smart phone time in the wrong hands. (I, however, the variation of my old Samsung Waves here like even better, where you could protect individual folders with a password under "Confidential")
As a great thing in practice, proves the "smart screen": As long as one looks at the screen, it stays active, independent of the selected screen backlight duration.
Conclusion:
The average smartphone user is well served with LG L9II. (Hardcore user with a strong "playfulness" are in any case due to choose the device data to another phone.)
The brilliant HD display in a compact housing combined with functional inner values and a good battery life make it a great companion.
The only thing I miss something L9II at LG, is a notification LED. A pity that LG has saved here.
The overall package is convincing - therefore from me 5 stars and an absolute buy recommendation !!!
