Compulsory Happiness

It was a time that less than twenty years can not know ... That's a typical SF 70s which society and its organization is the subject of the novel. At the time SF writers hardly reluctant to work on working hypotheses completely outlandish, moreover Silverberg here postulates a company that I would describe as impossible, taking at face value elsewhere injunctions the time on the absolute sexual freedom. For here it is absolute, and even regimented by law. The men wander the halls of gigantic towers, gathering 75 billion humans, and exercise their sexual freedom, a right that can not be denied by the woman with whom they come. But through the inhabitants of this world we discover the shackles imposed happiness makes this possible, the denial of privacy, a strong hierarchy, a peasant caste that cultivates the land outside the towers.
