Philip Glass is a genius. And he was even twenty years ago. There is probably no one who so brilliantly minimal motifs tune with each other and so daring choir accompaniments used. Admittedly, the music is not for everyone. You seem experimental and daring. But does it also. It is different. Who Glass previously found good, who will experience it here in the extreme. What particularly fascinates me: the contrast. One finds both very quiet and meditative pieces, but faster, more hectic pieces there as well. Although in my opinion Powaqatsi is even better, but when it comes to balance this album is unbeatable - Powaqatsi many like there might be too fast and nervous. Too bad that there are only 45 minutes, which can be found on this CD. There could have been more peaceful. But there are in the re-release of 1998 levels.
