Gone from Danger (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Looking at currently very successful artists like Alanis Morisette, Tracy Chapman or Tanita Tikaram, then one forgets nearly such great women like Joan Baez. But that would be a serious mistake, as this album proves. Since the eighties, it was a little gone quiet around her and it took a while until in the sixties and seventies extremely important folk singer again could win a place in the contemporary popular culture.

Folk Music has no longer the vanguard of the Nimbus spearhead a counter-culture to the existing system. The listening habits have changed significantly in recent decades, today's productions can not do without elaborate arrangements and imaginative Studio edits.

With "Play Me Backwards" Gone From Danger "and" Dark Chords On An Old Guitar "Joan Baez linked effortlessly to her carefully produced 1979 studio album" "to, but" Diamonds And Rust Gone From Danger "seems to me the most Most Personal. A lovingly designed booklet contains not only the profound and sometimes very poetic texts a goodly number of beautiful photos.
