Folk music meets Swedish Death

I found out by chance on the band in November, on a youtube video link on Facebook - quite late actually, because at this point the album had been a good six months old:
"First Blood" - the opener of the longplayer (and apparently the first video that has published the band) has convinced me from the first moment.
The idea folk music sounds to be mixed with metal is not entirely new, there have certainly been other bands tried it - but in this balancing act, the music drifting all too easily into the parodic or ridiculous from (a good example is IMHO "folk metal") - to make it sound as well as the whole homogeneous is not really trivial.

But Drescher master this task in my opinion brilliantly.
The songs have really across the board catchy, the harmonica is very much present, but integrates seamlessly into about metal instrumentation a (here and there you will find very appealing Harmonica Guitar "duels" as they are also found again for example with Sonata Arctica, only just with keyboards and guitar).
The riffing and the 2-voiced guitars generally are second to none - other bands that would be geared towards Gothenburg probably lick all ten fingers when they could conjure up melodies of this caliber out of the hat.
Shows you the harmonica and the dialect lyrics for just one moment of, one obtains a metal band that nationally not need to hide.

In summary: both musically and from production forth at a high level - certainly not a classic first work that has taken quite a freshly found band in musty tasting cellar

The lyrics are quite serious and rain (so one understands ;-) and if you want to engage in it) even provoking - fits very well into the concept and underlines the intention not to want to see as a parody troupe, but as a serious musician.

My recommendation sakes: the album two or three passes, and the songs will be drilled in your brain turns!
I certainly hope that we get from these troops in the future even more to listen
