Unless tested Batavians vegetables are much softer, Philips engineers have forgotten to test their device. The disc that supports the part to cut is not rigid enough (probably because of the axis support) and sinks under the pressure imposed rapper vegetables. Result, big pieces of carrots, cucumbers or celery pass between this disc and the cover and was very annoying. I Moulinex before I recommend very much.
