- Few innovations
- Still no support for Outlook 2010 64bit
- Here no spam filter visible
- When starting Windows updates are not searched, but only after 20 minutes (must be changed manually)
- No live update in Startup
- Norton gadget on the desktop deleted without replacement!
- Carelessly designed interface
Undoubtedly, a good program, but where are the real innovations? Outlook is still not supported in its 64bit version 2010 may not be true. Windows 7 is preinstalled but almost exclusively in the 64-bit version on computers. The nice gadget in Windows 7, which indicated great if everything is in order, has been deleted without replacement (the forums are full of them). Apparently are gadgets in Windows 7 potential vulnerabilities (Microsoft warns), which is why we now all kindly to upgrade to Windows8 tiles! Norton Internet Security 2013 has a slightly different user interface and loveless little innovations, aside from scanning his Facebook account. Whether that's enough against the competition? This does not sleep. Somehow the current version looks listless like old wine in new bottles; claims. I'm excited about the upcoming comparison tests. When you start Norton Live Update manually, the program almost always finds new updates, no matter when you start it, sometimes even by the minute. Why does the program makes only 20 minutes after the start of the search for new updates (as in version 2012) is puzzling and untrustworthy. The settings for this are not easy to find. An update time interval you can not also set. Fortunately, the update of 2012 to 2013 for free. Tip: There are convenient 24months versions 3-pack that is worth twice as much!
Update 26/01/2014
Having had several viruses that had NIS 2014 not recognized, I will have to look for another security suite. Norton has simply denied there! What really hit me off the chair, is the comparison test in Computer Bild 04/2014: Norton doing the last place, quote: "As bad as ever ..., failed consistently in almost all pest tests let you pass many older pests.. When new viruses success rate was 71.7%. Note 3.70 (sufficient) and last place. " For comparison, Kaspersky and G DATA 1.83 1.97.
