FYI yet: My last phone was a HTC One M7. Before that I had the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy S2. So I know I have made with Android smartphones ;-)
Style: 5/5 stars
To design is to say that Samsung has done great job here. The metal-like framework evaluates the score Edge on immensely. The volume rocker and the power button are now made of metal and have a very good tactile feedback. The Edge is obviously unique and currently directs the attention. With this smartphone you therefore falls to absolutely, positively and everyone wants it sometimes take into their own hands.
Height / Weight: 5/5 stars
Here I had at the beginning a very strong concern, since my last time a smartphone HTC One M7 was now and this is known to be significantly smaller. At that time I got along very well with the 4.7 inch display and felt this was a perfect size. Now my opinion has changed, however. I do not want to miss the 5.6 inches of touch Edge. It is very good in the hand, can be quite still with one hand and still fits nicely in your pocket. Since the touch Edge is also incredibly thin, you hardly notice that you have something in your pocket.

Well I think here I do not have to say much. The touch Edge has known the best resolution of all smartphones, which are currently on the market. And it shows. There is a huge difference in terms of resolution compared to HTC One M7.
Edge: 5/5 stars
The Edge was one of the main reasons why I have resorted to this smartphone. For me it was something completely new (as for everyone else, as it happens to a new function is ;-)) to use this Edge. On many websites will Scrappy that the Edge has no real added value. This, however, I can absolutely deny. The Edge facilitates working, playing and simple Rumdaddeln on Smartphone. If, for example, in a game and get a message, so you can quickly click on the Edge on WhatsApp and so very fast reply. Or are accessed quickly to useful apps such as Timer, Stopwatch, Memo, etc. to.
Also binds the Edge several other apps a well. When your viewing the buttons disappear on the Edge and thus you have the whole screen free to watching. Or when the camera also disappear the buttons on the Edge, which can be much easier access to the camera triggers. I hope some Apphersteller also adapt in the near future their app at the touch Edge, which saves even more additional functions are possible.
I could rave for hours from the Edge here now, but that is beyond the scope. But I think I have given to understand that I just find the Edge only hammergeil !!!

The touch Edge is, like all Samsung models at the beginning, relatively littered with unnecessary apps from Samsung. Many bothers you. For me, it is, however, totally uninteresting, because you the apps that you can not uninstall requires simple or clear and thus they are either no longer on the smartphone or are no longer visible. The operating speed of the touch Edge is phenomenal. I've never had a cell phone in hand, which is so fast. Have a buddy who has the Galaxy S5 and one who has the iPhone 5s, some apps open at the same time each and getting the note Edge was worlds faster than the other counterparty.
S-Pen: 5/5 stars
The S-Pen is a wonderful extra function that also have the other Touch models. He feels very well and the knob on him has a good tactile feedback. Here I can refer to some videos on YouTube that have the S-Pen put under the microscope and thus go deeper into the matter.
Camera: 5/5 stars
The camera was for me, in addition to the Edge, the second main reason for me to decide on this smartphone. It is just phenomenal. Each photo has a very nice quality. The trigger is incredibly fast. A comparison with the HTC One M7, I will not reveal here, because the lese majeste for touch Edge would. Only this: Yesterday I made to compare a photo with any smartphone of a same object, and I had to laugh because of the difference in the image quality is so huge.
Battery: 4/5 stars
Here's a small weak point of the smartphone. Why Samsung has installed a smaller battery compared to the score of 4, even though the mobile phone because of the Edge has a higher resolution and significantly more pixels, is beyond me and I'll never understand. Maybe they wanted to install a vulnerability on purpose so smartphones in the future can be even better ;-)
The smartphone comes with normal use of 6-23 clock with about 20% each night to the wall socket. If you use it a little bit more, so it must have been earlier to the wall socket. Normally I would have given for the battery 3/5 stars, but the quick charge function is super convenient. The music invites Edge in 30 minutes of 0% - 50% and in a total of about 100 minutes at 100%. Thus, one can note the Edge quickly recharge times up and then daddeln on.
Speaker: 3/5 stars
Here the only factor where the touch Edge HTC One M7 is really clearly inferior. The M7 has stereo speakers on the front. Why Samsung does not even recognize that there is much smarter to grow the Front speaker I do not understand. The speaker quality is not bad and also very loud, but it conceals the speaker easily, if you have the phone only in the hands, or has lying on a table. Therefore, the rating of 3/5 stars.
Conclusion: 5/5 stars
After a few days use, I am absolutely delighted with the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The doubts before buying in size are now gone and I do not want to miss the large display. The most important, namely that the smartphone fits into your pocket is consistently given by the thinness in each of my pants. The strengths (design, display, software, Edge, camera, S-Pen) predominate to a clear comparison with the disadvantages (battery, speaker), which is why I put the overall grade of the Edge on 5/5 stars!
