The switch is 2-pole (but is not in the description, presumably because this really has to be so). Such devices are well suited for use when using a power strip for more consumers to avoid (eg computers with printers, scanners and other devices) to targeted shutdown own consumption not constantly required system components. Caution: If power strips with transverse or oblique arranged contacts can easily be blocked one slot!
