Overall had (!!!) my in-laws and I 10 glass carafes in our inventory. Three were each in a SodaStream package and two extra selling DuoPacks. Of these 10 glass carafes 4 pieces are us now broke. All together at the beginning of the first thread of the glass carafe. At first we thought that the dishwasher causes this defect. When we were all together typically switch on Hand wash and glass carafes still fragmented, we were taken aback! This defect is not a handling error but a material or design flaws as have all together the same error image. All triggered by this truly bad closure of a perceived production tolerance of + - 1mm should have.
Meanwhile is our in-laws and my question to the room if we sell the SodaStream as an alternative carafe is not on the open market to purchase (Would be great if you could buy a carafe with a champagne closure that would fit in this SodaStream ). Either we use the SodaStream continue and have no choice but repeatedly buy more replacement carafes or we buy as usual six-packs of Aldi and Co. In this sense: sink or swim ...!
With best regards
Daniel
