By chance I found out last year that Jack Letten (known as a singer of Smoke Blow) recently namely Erik Cohen, making music under a different pseudonym. The pre-EP knew me please, and I was very pleased when finally the album was available. And this not the least bit disappointed. Musically, Erik and his fellow musicians move somewhere between hard rock, punk and alternative, the deep voice gives the matter even a slight Gothic touch. Every now and then recalls the music of The Cult and The 69 Eyes. The lyrics are all held in German language, which can be a tricky thing for me because I prefer English texts. But here everything is in the green zone, even if we are not only dealing with lyrical masterpieces. (Incidentally, perhaps the best song of the album) to please "cosmonaut", "city" and "light" but for example, have very beautiful texts, and also some other song by white "North German melancholy" (such as "conductor"). The music is not just complex, and one or the other reef is repeated in a modified form, but that does nothing at all. The songs go wonderfully in his ear, and a failure in vain. "Nostalgia for the Future" (cool title by the way) is a real highlight of the still young year for me.
