The installation of the game went smoothly, but I could not start the game. It always appeared only the splash screen of D3 or RoS, but nothing happened. D3 Manager ran only in the task among processes.
Solve the problem: Please take a look at dxdiag whether your Direct 3D acceleration is enabled. Dxdiag is a diagnostic program of Direct X software and with their help you can find out information about the built-in system graphics card.
To start with, this is "Windows key" + "r" and enter "dxdiag" - then besätigen with "enter".
Then comes in dxdiag and looks under the display tab. There are three lines ...
DDraw Status: Enabled
D3D Status: Disabled / Enabled
AGP Status: Enabled
If the status at D3D to Disabled appears exactly the fault pattern described by me.
Only problem is that in dxdiag this status can not be changed. You need an additional tool to specifically Direct X Contral Panel. Since the link is likely to be deleted, simply use the Google search. It is located on the HP of 3DCenter-org.
The problem was simply that I had a Software Only acceleration enabled (no idea why) - so that Diablo 3 will not work, of course.
Now I'm happy that I can finally get started! :)

First impression: Although nowadays many PC owners use broadband Internet, 25 GB for a game installation are quite steep. With 32Mbit of KDG I now needed about 45 minutes until the game was completely installed. I do not know if someone at home only 6mbit or 2Mbit owns. Since one needs to have patience. Since I'm probably very veröhnt of the console.
Too bad, I also think that you have no real soloing, but must always be connected to the Battle.net. Since Diablo 3 is my first PC game for about 3-4 years, I have me at this kind of game sales accustom that one is constantly connected to the Internet.
Otherwise, I am happy to get started. Blizzard games are just the best :)
And take it to me not Krum that it is rather a guide / reference is me it was just important to get rid of here. I've been frustrated quite why the game did not start.
Update 19:03:14:
So now I can play 1 1/2 hours with no problems and am absolutely thrilled by the game :) For not even 17 + Steelbook which is a great Amazon Deal!
The game has an immediately cast a spell and has immediately sparked Diablo Flair!
I must still pure Peeve something in the game, but it is a really explains everything. The difficulty level is slightly uphill and directed by himself
the level of the hero. Overall, a strong buy recommendation and for under 20 the game you can really treat yourself as a blind purchase.
If only not the 8h desperate search was due to not starting the game ... In retrospect, I can laugh about it but again :)
