ModNation Racers is a cuddly graphics racing game that despite simple control an unsuspected depth of gameplay revealed. Until you get the kart really under control, go by before a couple of hours. Until you have resolved any task really in Einzelspielerkampgne you've spent many hours with this hit. In some Rezis reference is made to the hefty difficulty. Part I can agree with that, but with practice I've been packed every task (I'm no longer the Joypadakrobat like 15 years ago).
However, the great strength of the title are the community features and the scary powerful editor tools with which you own Mods (these are the pawns that are somewhat reminiscent of the Xbox avatars and Wii Miis), can design karts and tracks. Unfortunately, this is the first small weak point, because although the editors really cover all the needs, the handling of the pad is a little awkward. I would like to see here a PC program with which you could design the routes (similar to TrackMania titles). The karts can fully pave with logos and with a little ingenuity, you can combine to create with the available basic shapes close to everything. But here are a few things that do not make it easy perfectionists. I'd like a grid on the sticker designer, because then you could check conditions and better alignment and for the choice of color, it would be great to be able to enter RGB values. But anyway, that's then maybe to nerdy :)
The online races are entertaining, class of matchmaking ago and since there are many people already, probably better serve the editor as I also a ton of new routes.
Those of a gregarious to a TV that look forward to the 4 player split-screen mode. I have it so far only two tested, but that was very funny.
From the technical side, there little to complain about: The sound is good, because some catchy tunes are. The graphics are okay too, but not an absolute highlight. If is very much on the lines going there will be slowdowns, which does not impact disturbing.
ModNation Racers was the perfect answer to Mario Kart, if it were not for one problem: The load times are in this title pretty much the most horrible thing I've seen in a C64-hours. The game approved when installing 4 GB HDD space, yet you must wait about 45 seconds before each race before the action starts (whether online or offline). This is absolutely out of the question for the year 2010. Dear developers of United Front Games and Sony, as you still have to 'follow up on nen patch in order not to stand as a totally ridiculous.
Who can start with the cuddly graphics which (or at least does not feel disturbed thereof) can access and has to weeks an entertaining Racer. Those who want something more adult graphic, aknn to Blur or Split Second Velocity grab that make similar fun but look a little adult.
