:: Gameplay ::
The gameplay remains the basic pillars still the same. Take a handful of linear levels that the player must play with two (or more) given Lego figures. All this is a nice little story that is based on the original, kept together. But even here first small changes become noticeable. So individual level, for example, be played in parallel with different Lego couples. By holding down the Y button to jump between two scenes back and forth. In both puzzles must be solved by the respective other Lego couple making progress to help. After that, all levels can be played in free mode again. Now you can also freely choose the game characters, because in order to get some extras, other than pawns in the story mode are needed.
In addition, you have the new game paid a kind real-time strategy component. So are individual level no longer after jump'n'run principle run from A to B up but large playing cards where bases have to be conquered. For this one builds itself bases, barracks and calls for support from the air. While this is relatively easy (except for a narrow time window in the free levels), but still fun and is especially a good change from the classic Lego gameplay.
In addition, new bounty hunters have been added missions in which you have to look a certain figure. However (!) Have this level nothing to do with the pure main game and should be seen as complementary to really be able to see everything in the game and unlock more.
Somewhat confusing is only the beginning as one does all the unlocks new additional levels and missions. These are namely not selected directly, but must be achieved for example by new unlockable levels in their own spaceship (without explaining too complicated now) only.
We would then also arrived in the second pillar of the Lego principle: collecting Lego bricks. These are available as usual in different colors (depending on the value of silver, gold, blue and purple). This is as it were the internal currency with the other characters, spaceplane, etc. can be purchased. Much of the long-term motivation comes exactly from that point. You just want to collect everything, no matter how unimportant abwägig and the Lego figure may actually be, to play and play for this or be able to buy that.
To give the game a little more complexity, you can even jump into a Space Glider and sometimes just fly to an enemy ship and solve more puzzles here. Or embarking on several space battles. All this makes this Lego Star Wars game to which is by far the largest in the series and all the Lego games. Multiplayer in the form of Koop I did not test for lack of second player.
:: Graphics & Sound ::
Graphically this game Lego also by far the best so far. The level look more realistic, are riddled with great graphical effects such as sparks, fire, etc., and even play the second or third drop to a still new details. Pauachal I would say that the level has become much more detailed than in previous. And as with Lego games usual there is no dialogue and music is resorted back to the original score of the films. This is, of course, simply a classic and thus can play alone already provide for this reason only the highest marks.
:: Conclusion ::
I've played all the Lego games and for me Lego Star Wars III is the best by far. Graphically, it's great, has great attention to detail and the new playful elements, not only new opportunities, but more long-term game open. If you want to really unlock everything and see and reach a gamerscore of 100%, then you sit long in the game and with long I mean really long. So you get a lot offered for sien money. Less than five stars would be totally wrong here - that's why even the highest rating!
