When searching, I came across brother, a producer, I had checked off as "cheap brand" actually several years ago.
The almost exclusively very positive reviews of the smaller models from Brother (here on Amazon) have me but to move to it nevertheless venture and me to order the MFC-990CW.
Unpacked the small size surprised me compared to the other hand quite plump therefore coming Canon MP830. The design is classy and the arrangement of the keys is good and logical. I like most the large touch-screen display. This device can be super easy and intuitive to use. Who still does not want to do on the device itself, but rather about the software on the screen preferences, the is also given this possibility.
DECT telephone:
In phone there is a Accublock consisting of three cells. It has a capacity of 730 mAh. The display is illuminated organge and quite easy to read. There is a 2.5mm jack to which you can connect a wired headset on the side of the listener.
Stations:
The printing works relatively quiet and very quick.
In more technical features and capabilities, I will not go into great here. This information you get best on the manufacturing side. When I had a question that could not answer me the Brother website, I called just there and I was competent and uncomplicated helped. Class!
I am absolutely satisfied and pretty excited about this device! The reliability after a few days I can not judge, but in my opinion, puts the 990CW at least functionally considered the Canon MP830 and probably also the nearly identical successor MP850 loose in the bag. Only the touch screen display is a big advantage, because the operation is done in this way very intuitive. In addition, Blutooth, wireless internet access and voicemail. Connected via USB can be the brother also very comfortable to use as a card reader.
The manual even exists as a printed book and is very easy to understand. I have not used.
Finally, here are the energy values:
(Specifications according to manufacturer instructions)
Standby Fax mode: Approx 0.9 W
Energy saving mode: about 8 W
Standby: 8.5 W

UPDATE 28/09/2014!
