I get out of this completely charmed reading and being once again a child who is told great stories of fairy tales. While it is true that this novel is remastered, when the true tales that we have known are very different, the characters have grown up and are no longer what we learned from them, j 'Loved. Chris Colfer has a way of getting a message and the pen that comes with it to embark in foreign countries and where one wants to stay much longer. Because being propelled in stories that have shaped our childhood is so magical that everyone dream. And see that two children were able to do, made me jealous. I would have loved to be in their place to live their adventures.

If I bought this book is primarily because Chris Colfer is a person that I love because of its role in "Glee" series and then having discovered in his "Struck" novel. I immediately liked his pen, his world, his humor. Second point that really convinced me: the cover. No, but look at that marvel! I promise you that when I bought it, I have not stopped looking at the book-object which was near me. I could not help but touch, to open it, to watch it. The format is different from other Michel Lafon and this is precisely what makes it whole charm. I can not tell you why, but to me, this book is part of the book objects that will remain engraved in my memory in a rather strong way and I often ressortirai my library to look at the wonder that is. And if I actually began my column, eh? Not because here I could make you a novel, as this book is ... sublime (both inside and outside)

Conner and Alex are twins who nevertheless opposes all: when the first is very studious and Saga, the second has trouble in school and is quite turbulent. Yet that does not stop them from loving with infinite love, a love of twins, I would say. As for their birthday their grandmother gives them an ancient book "the land of fairy tales," the two children do not think they are going to be transported to a parallel world, but not just any! No one who rock their past, present and future. The one that thrills with its fairy tales, characters that have their own history.

However, nothing is as before. The characters have grown, and with them their mentality (or not). While Rapunzel became the most sought land for flights, Little Red Riding Hood is not afraid of Red Riding Hood and Snow White hides a dark secret. If Alex is delighted to land in this world filled with magic and each time is euphoric when she discovers new things or she sees in real life characters, his brother, Conner, was he off his guard. He wants to go home and is no more achieved it magic.

Nevertheless, their adventures and their quest to return home, Conner will become ... this magic and the world beyond it completely. It will open more, propose solutions and bring freshness with his humor and relaxed shifting while sometimes we believe everything is finished. They will meet a tribe of characters as interesting as each other. I loved them all, even the Wicked Queen.

Certainly, it is still novel for young people, but that is what I find to be the strongest point of this novel. Although Chris Colfer is an adult, he was able to keep this share of innocence see beloved of children in books. It has kept the "true" story of stories, even if he has a little change the thread. After all, the characters have grown up, and played on it, but divinely. Yes, I can say, this novel is a heart stroke as much visual as bookish. It pleased me in many ways and I come out completely conquered, to the point that I did not get to the end and stay in the universe fairy tales. I do not want the sister to return home, because I wanted them to continue their adventures. Although I know that Volume 2 is planned, I can not help but be sad to have finished so soon. But when you start this book, one can not stop. As if magic Emploi the author permeated us and sent us in this world.

If I were asked to choose a relationship I have particularly appreciated followed by his humor and exchanges, I can safely say that of Rapunzel / Little Red Riding Hood. We feel a great friendship between them but something separate. What? I'll let you discover (hihi). What I mean to say that their picks, their trade, their feelings are not for princesses (or queens). I sometimes felt like to be with two teenage girls who pull hair because they are not happy and I loved it!

The end managed to raise me to tears. Chris Colfer knows the right words to use and above all in a way that touches you more than you think. And this novel is not that a story tales, because over the pages, one realizes that there is a plot even more complex and this is what makes us love him even more . I must say that I did not expect at all that kind of thing and that is what I like when I discover a book: and there be surprise, he succeeded 100%

For fans of Once Upon A Time, you will be inevitably drawn to the series and find some small details that look. But that's what gives it its charm. I doubt he copied on this series, but several facts are similar and quite funny. Those who have seen and OUAT reading this novel just after, can only have sympathy for certain characters while in the true story, everyone hates them. That's what makes the magic of reading and derivatives true stories ... afford to see the good in everyone.

In summary, a first volume which conquered me from beginning to end, which I devoured and enjoyed a rather surprising way. The author knows both find the right words, use a humor that is appreciated and getting a ton of messages in just over 400 pages. A plot that is different from what one might think by reading the summary of the tale characters who have grown up and we appreciate to find adults. A feather still beautiful and in a magical world that makes it even more mesmerizing. A beautiful book-object that does not cease to look and touch as soon as the opportunity arises. In short, a great success and a heart stroke as bookish and visually. Strongly on!

"One of you like flies with his tea? he asked, taking another jar full of dead insects.
No thank you, Conner said. Trying to quit.
As you like, said Frog by putting some flies in his tea. "
