I know Terra Naomi on YouTube where she initially regularly hochlud videos of their latest songs. I was immediately blown away by songs like "Up here", "Flesh For Bones" and of course "Say It's Possible". Shortly thereafter, I learned from her album and was initially a bit skeptical because the background music is now no longer consists only of an acoustic guitar. But I was convinced that the songs were skillfully implemented and have not lost their uniqueness. Terra Naomi is one of the best "insider" I know. In addition to the melodies and her voice, I find the lyrics remarkably well and moving. If one looks but to dance a little, this CD is a bad fit; Nevertheless, the music ranges from quiet melancholy to fast, cheeky. Thus, "Under The Influence" definitely worth buying for those (content) looking for something special and sophisticated, far from the mainstream.
