What a strange book: the first part is beautiful, touching, well written and carries a valuable humanist message (childbirth in private, in the dark, at home or suitable place, skin to skin, breastfeed directly, etc). It makes you want to follow, it seems so logical.
As against the second part, Michel Odent ventures into philosophical-scientific considerations rather relied on its own reflections on scientific evidence, as it does at the beginning. And that by quite a bit different in underground horizons ... Besides himself and poses many questions.
Throughout this second part I wanted to read the 2011 revised version 20 years later to see if he had found the answers, continues to assert the same thesis, etc.
Brief to recommend for the beginning ... as to the rest of the book to read ... with questioning ....
