Ok, the giant logic gaps fall later than the second time to see (why come Cruise & Blunt only plan, a day earlier to start the salvation of mankind, as it is almost too late?) - But that bothers me personally not. It's just not a Interstellar, do not want it to be. French author film is different. The idea behind the whole is not really new (UTGDM + SPR), but that is indeed persuaded enough in any criticism.
But otherwise everything is great: Emily Blunt is great and to fall in love, Tom Cruise is even better (though not to fall in love, at least not for me, muhaha). After seeing the making of, I bow even deeper before their presentation. The other actors (in particular Bill Paxton) is also very good to excellent. The aliens are a matter of taste (I was not on the 1,000 times in horror movies seen slow-fast), but very convincingly staged. The technology has shown great, especially the exosuits: At Elysium, there were those two, everybody has one, and compelling look at the still from. The "landing in Normandy" a la Saving Private Ryan, there were rarely more convincing (SPR course excluded).
But best is the act, and as Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt them ahead. Hach is nice if all the early pick on Cruise. And as he walks verschwurbelt-clumsy in his battle dress. As Blunt shootin him repeatedly, visibly annoyed by the slow progress (although it always the first day is for them). As they meter by meter through the "Video Game" work. ("How far have we come?" "'Uh, that's hard to say.") The showdown is appropriately bombastic and not zuu patriotic-feely. The happy ending can I not take the film crooked, it's just popcorn cinema! And all that without real screenplay - respect.
Conclusion: I found it great, my wife fands class. Did the film now seen three times, no signs of wear. A film for people who like good movies - and those categories do not matter: This film is somewhere between science fiction, action, WW2, comedy and computer game. ;-)
