The P340 offers again next to the automatic mode the possibility "itself to lend a hand." This works well so far, as well as with the P330, we sometimes have the feeling that the menu could react ansich bit faster (although it is not as bad as in our old P330 - these, as already written, is probably defective ). Ansich comes a camera from a bit sluggish.
In automatic mode, however, you can take pictures very quickly so far and the results speak for themselves also.
The image quality of our previous shot with the P340 images like us. There are also revivals in RAW mode possible for those who prefer to edit on the PC the images themselves.
A new feature of this model of WiFi mode for the GPS module is kicked. You can connect the camera to the phone and get about the GPS data. Well, since I have a Windows Phone, I could not test, because it is the appropriate app (called "Wireless Mobile Utility") not for Windows Phone is (and no thanks, at this point, please do not talk that you're to blame when Windows Phone has - I like my Windows Phone and I can live without this feature in the P340).
Furthermore, also want to mention again in at this point that we - again with Nikon - the processing of the camera like extremely well. It is small, light and still does not look cheap. Everything is valuable and clean and well finished. Nothing creaks or wobbles.
CONCLUSION: A great camera with a slightly sluggish menu - we hope to be able to enjoy this model longer than on predecessor P330. As far as we can issue a buy recommendation.
