The hard drive was neatly packed. USB and power cables lay in.
The 1TB hard drive (7200 rev / min) is located in a relatively small, black housing. Where previously took place only a WD disk from the My Book Edition, now the footprint still sufficient even for a second hard drive in this series. From the optics, it is unimpressive - for my taste a big plus.
The on / off switch is missing. However, this information I had before. Since the hard drive is connected via a disconnectable socket that provides for me so no problem.
The light-emitting diode is located on the rear of the housing. Particularly clever not appear to me. For now, I have the plate "wrong direction" prepared.
Connecting and realize went smoothly (Win XP). Data exchange takes place via a USB 2 port (hard drive side, a mini USB connector). The transfer of the data to be backed worked well when took advantage that even a few hours (backed up about 470 GB).
A noise is not noticeable for me. The plate stands with me however in foot height in a PC-shelf. Etc. vibrations I also can not perceive. The heat development remained low even after the data transfer, so that from this side no problems should be expected.
The price-performance ratio seemed extraordinarily good at the plate, so I slammed.
If in my opinion make a difference, I will tell the tale.
