The battle for the Seven Kingdoms

The plot of the second book of the series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' segues seamlessly from the events of the first part. The characters that accompany the reader, are now scattered all over the continent. As the name of the book promises to various kings are going to play and compete for the sole dominion of the kingdom 'but where winners are, there are always losers, and not every king fights by fair means'

As the first part is 'A Clash of Kings' marked by distinctive writing style Martins. He skillfully linked the fates of individual characters with each other. Thanks vivid descriptions of the reader delves deep into the world of the Seven Kingdoms. Often the reader only gets hints regarding the plans of some characters, and so eventually all the more surprised when this reveal.
The story is portrayed in this book from the perspective of a total of ten characters who meet rarely. This means that the story is complex and multifaceted. Martin succeeds brilliantly to match the individual narrative strands together. However, this also means that cliffhanger are often resolved after several chapters. However, this took me often a little too long, and I wondered if you could not have a little shorter summarize the events of some characters.
The main characters themselves are designed multifaceted. Most of them I have therefore gladly accompany and cheer him if you succeed in their plans as they move through the seven kingdoms. Martin to describe their concerns and hopes alive, so that I could empathize with the reader well in this succeeds. The supporting characters are often just as interesting, here I often but only thanks to the people list annexed stay organized.

With 'A Clash of Kings' lead George RR Martin's master series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' strong on. The numerous characters to myself entertained. The action pointed to some lengths, but could leave with their complexity and voltage impression on me. Anyone who has been the first part enthusiastically should definitely continue with 'A Clash of Kings'!
