I am a Tomb Raider fan from the start and had eagerly waited for the PS2 version. First impression: Toll! Lara looks very nice, and is very nicely animated - and finally around. The programmers have put together some very nice moves and movements. But after some time the game starts to annoy a bit. There are a few new features, such as. Lara wins the game at the strength to do it and jump further than before. This means that precise jumps have to be repeated on platforms with cumbersome of frequent Save. - Typical PC; because there are a Quick Save. The PS2 has of course every time reload ... Next shortcoming: The control is as bad as in almost any other game. Anyone familiar with the old control is here to "Controller Killer". There the keys were swapped for jumping and role. (Without the possibility to adjust this) The new handling of the analog sticks sometimes mean that you have to move the stick in a semicircle to run straight. What usually results in that Lara plunges to his death ... Also give me some small bugs have noticed that I only remember very carelessly implemented PC versions ... Despite all these things, 'I would still recommend it to all TR fans because it also very nice things were built. eg. plays the London Symphonic Orchestra, the music, and the graphics are really exhilarating. The story is a very, very great story! Of course, there's also a couple of levels which can be played really nice. But, all in all, I am rather disappointed; I would have expected more ... It acts as if Eidos powerful time pressure had a PS2 version to be published, and could not quite paying attention here and there.
