A real hit among all the lumen rivets!

Preface:
For years, I am looking for LED spots that are really as bright as the 12V halogen spots previously used by me. So far I have Philips Master Line and Osram IRC Energy Saver used. This lamps provide already in the 20-watt version more than 400 lumens at 35 watts more than 800 lumens and 50 watts more than 1200 lumens. The color temperature is slightly higher than the "normal" halos, namely approximately 3000 K for Osram and about 3150 K for Philips. The lumen values ​​of these halos make clear that a real alternative in today's LED technology is hard to find. Have tried dozens of LED spots. Usually, the information grossly exaggerated or just plain wrong. As for example, have spots that should have 3 x 2 Watt only a power consumption of 5 watts. Wizardry? Even statements such as "comparable to 50 watts" are a joke - even the aforementioned 20-watt halogen versions are hard to beat! The stated on many packaging Lumen values ​​are often not realistic. Why am I writing this "drivel"? I realize that my claims are extremely high, the more important is the result:

Of all LED spots that I've tried (and there were many! Incl. Brands such as Osram and Philips, and countless unknown manufacturer) is the Auraglow 7 W the best!

Benefits:
- Here at last seemed once the performance data to vote: Probably 3 x 2 Watt LEDs (the last Watt goes for the wiring plan)
- The LEDs are compared to all the others that I had been the brightest! The stated 320 lumens seem absolutely honest.
- The color temperature is facilitated above the "normal" warm white. Comes pretty good at the "Master Line" color off treasures as 3100 K - I find the color temperature class!
- The beam is concentrated in the center Animal T and slopes gently at the edges. Optimal distribution! So neither a hard nor a limited cone difuses image without center.
- No noticeable delay. Previously had the other recessions read who wrote of delay, but with me the light comes on immediately.

Disadvantages:
no real: While it is true (as in another recession described), that the heat sink is a little sharp, but there is indeed no later "off pack".
Clear the price could be lower, but as the saying goes: Who buys cheap, buys twice! In addition, have become cheaper than at my time of purchase.

Conclusion:
Until there is actually LED spots, replace the good-12V 50-watt halogen spots (> 1200 lumens), will probably take a few more years and the LED power must be wahrschienlich good 20 watts.
But anyone who is looking for a replacement for normal high-voltage halos and all Sucherei is suffering, who found here the absolute hit.
The parts have so convinced me that I ordered the same 10 more after my test purchase of yesterday (thanks to Amazon for the quick delivery), today after the first test;
not that are eventually sold out!

Addition:
For use in certain lamp sockets important: The Auraglow is a total of about 1 cm longer than standard high-voltage halogen lamp, in which the neck length identical (Contacts 2.5 cm), but the reflector is longer and also another Rounding has.

After half a year of experience I would add the following:
1. In the meantime, I have 20 of these bulbs in operation. All still work perfectly.
2. None of my 3 orders I received a bill from Safield - despite email reminder and contact amazon! So if you need the bulbs for its operation or a rented property, has here obviously a problem.
3. In the third delivery, I noticed that the light color of the lamps can be easily spread. Three of my 20 bulbs have a slightly warmer tone. The falls on only when they are operating side by side. I wanted the first return, but they have then used in a 3-he-lamp in a separate room.
4. Some of the bulbs you höhrt when shaking a rattle. It seems as if the front windshield on the heat sink approach easy game. Is designed for operation but not a disadvantage.
5. Meanwhile, the Watt-specified in the product description from the original 7 Watt has been reduced to 6 watts. I suspect that this is just here a correction of something effective advertising hyped wattage. I had then measured the power consumption with an electronic power meter (no Billigmeßgerät but a true RMS power meter for several hundred euros). The meter showed only 5.2 watt active power. Since the specified voltage of the light source is 240 volts, with me "only" 227 volts from the AC outlet came in the measurement, the power rating of 6W is so realistic. However, at that time, the luminous flux was given as 320 lm. In the current product description that is only 300 lm. In practice, you will not probably see the difference.

Addendum (april 2015): Since my purchases and review more than 3 years have passed. The lamps verreichten still satisfactory in service. However, I should point out that the technology of LED bulbs has since evolved considerably. Meanwhile, there are lamps that achieve significantly higher lumen values ​​and are even dimmable. Therefore, today I would prefer more modern alternatives.
