The Twins need Lil Jon

It is now 10 years ago, as the Ying Yang Twins in collaboration with Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz and its hit single "Get Low" not only the international breakthrough was achieved, but also the Crunk established in the charts. Recently, however, it was pretty quiet around the rap duo from Atlanta - to the German record placer and Producer DJ Teddy-O guys in 2012 took to the studio. The result was "All Around The World", a record that is reminiscent of the early hours of D-Roc and Kaine. But Crunk is today at all still relevant? And Teddy-O can compete with the producers who are the Ying Yang Twins accustomed?

The opener "Alcohol & Drugs" makes immediately clear what is at stake in this album: Party. Musically the Rhymes are accompanied by intoxicants thick bass and massive oblique sounds from the electronics. Unfortunately, not very innovative and very monotonous. "Get On The Floor" on the other hand asks for Shaken buttock. With high speed of track thunders out of the speakers, acts quite flashy and funky, just the right place for clubs. While the oriental-inspired "Snake" makes for a bit of variety, disappointed the single "Rock" with dry and monotonous Beatgehämmer, which should take care of themselves on the dance floor for not a lot of entertainment. The quite slow held "Bullshit" first leaves the impression of a foreign body on "All Around The World". In fact, it is one of the best tracks, because he was not overloaded with synths, despite its hardness quite dignified comes over and also blends very well with the voices of the Ying Yang Twins.

However, after this little highlight followed by return a true pain in the form of "Grey Goose Pt. 2". The original from 2004 was not just a blast, but the 2012 ode to the popular Vodka is far beyond good taste. Responsible for this is once again a production that lacks any variety or idea. Nothing but bass. Add to this a terribly distorted vocal chorus, in which up hackles. Unfortunately, the rest of the album has very little worth mentioning. Under much Ausschussware only stand out the two party tracks "Hips" and "Nasty". It is true that these are anything but special, but do the basic things right, are powerful and reasonably melodic and offer with Kaine and D-Roc also two old hands who know how to deal with it.

To make it short: DJ Teddy-O is still missing a lot to the American colleagues. His beats are often unimaginative and lacking in variety. One or the other party suitable song can be found on "All Around The World" with certainty to the quality of older Ying Yang smashes like "Georgia Dome", "Badd" or "Dangerous" can not build far.
