Easy to use, clear, flicker image with excellent color reproduction and rich black.
Simple and clear menu navigation, bit settings (except for some image modes), perfectly adequate for me as the image of home is very good.
Important: A very fast, and quiet !!! Drive.
The noise when reading first be heard but that is quite normal, then it is pleasantly quiet. No humming or buzzing noise during movie enjoyment. The drive runs smoothly and quietly.
The described here by another reviewers 'extreme' drive noises I can not even confirm to some extent.
I've gotten to enjoy Samsung BD-E5500 Blu-ray more or less player Sony BDP-S280, Toshiba BDX 1200 KE, and their drives were all all a lot, especially during the movie playback, and not just when reading.
Very small, handy remote with all important functions ... is a matter of taste, I like the little better than the over-loading briquettes as do other manufacturers. Of which I have here to do enough.
The sound via HDMI is very spatially and clear, good clean bass and no distortions or strenuous even in the midst of the music harder pace (Madball, Soulfly, Biohazard ... etc). Therefore, in my opinion very well suited as an audio player.
Scaling DVD's and particularly DivX / MP4 files is in my opinion excellent (my WD Live Hub cuts since, although much more expensive, worse).
Very good to use as a media player, the software is indeed kept very simple and no Graphical Pops, but is reliable and has been playing with me all this without problems.
AND: it detects NTFS disks (my has 1TB, more I can not even try) and mobile 2.5 "drives without a separate power supply.
Practical: he has 'Open' + 'Power' button on top of the housing.
