Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor presented themselves in top form and the album has a very successful cross-section of their great songs from 1974 to 1986. Queen pull out all the stops of their skills and the whole style diversity of its great music comes to their fullest potential. Hard rock turns into a cool pop songs, beautiful ballads alternate with stadium anthems, grandiose choral passages, funky rhythms and incredible guitar solos. On CD 2 own repertoire is rounded off with a successful rock'n'roll medley and some short cover versions of famous songs. "We Will Rock You" and "Friends Will Be Friends" then lead into the final with "We Are The Champions" before the show is as always concluded with "God Save The Queen".
This band was brilliant and "Live At Wembley" is a fantastic time document that Queen presented at the culmination of their work. Although I personally miss the grandiose "Somebody To Love", but with such a huge selection of songs, it was impossible to consider all their hits ... and also includes the 1979-er-album "Live Killers", and appeared in 2004 Double CD "Queen On Fire Live At The Bowl" 1982 well-stocked in any CD collection.
Before the song "Who Wants To Live Forever" takes Freddie Mercury to the then circulating separation rumors position and announced to thunderous applause that Queen will stay together till death do them part ... how sad that he was right and how infinitely tragic that this happened as much too soon ... RIP Freddie - Queen Will Live Forever!
