When pureeing fruits / vegetables and the mix of beverages or the crushing of dry Mixgut both towers work very well. Differences can be found only in the following points:
PLASTIC MIXER:
- A maximum of 1 l capacity
- With transparent scaling
- So that the outer edge not form droplets with a rounded top and statements especially with spout tip.
- Also for crushing ice or frozen vegetables / fruits.
- Also, the blade assembly is with the exception of knives and spring made of plastic.
- The grip depends on the upper container.
- Has little weight.
GLASS MIXER:
- Maximum 3/4 l capacity
- With black, easy to read scale
- Without a rounded edge and without spout
- No ice and no frozen vegetables / fruits allowed.
- All parts of the blade assembly, which come into contact with the contents of the mixer are made of metal.
- The handle is connected to the lower part, in which the glass container is inserted.
- Much more difficult.
Both mixer - glass and plastics - can easily and conveniently be taken apart for cleaning. It is interesting that only in the glass blender a multilingual instructions for using came with. There was expressly noted that the blade insert does not belong to the dishwasher and even a sink, but should be cleaned under running water. When plastic mixer this notice is missing. I would, however, follow the same procedure due to the experiences made by me (see above).
My Conclusion:
If that crushing ice and frozen is important, which will be probably better off with the plastic mixer. The same applies to all those who become annoyed when running down the outside of the remnants-mixed, because there is no sink in glass blender. Who wants to live as possible plastic-free, however, is to take these two constraints into account and pick up the glass blender. The functionality beyond the Eisverarbeitung any case both devices equally well. At least I can not see any big differences.
- >> Frozen in glass blender?
See instructions for use on the Bosch.com website, which can be downloaded as a pdf. There is under the safety instructions clearly and unambiguously, that you may process frozen in the glass blender no fruit or vegetables. That's why I have so far not even tried it. Why else is in the product description, I do not know.
