The price is of course the main reason why I ordered the notebook. The feature set is available 299 Euros completely okay, especially the processor (B980) is a bit faster than the other low cost notebooks that there is to order from Amazon for the same money. The fact that for 299 Euro no SSD, or expect others send things should indeed be clear.
Windows installation went without problems, then started the included driver CD and all drivers (especially USB 3.0, WLAN, etc.) installed (you can of course also on the ASUS website individually collect), the various Asus tools that only a the computer vollmüllen but omitted. Also went smoothly and the computer was after about 30 minutes with Windows 7 - 64 bit ready.
Now briefly to operate (a little more detail about the annoying things that positive below as bullet points):
-The Touchpad with the ball sensor nonsense is definitely a disaster !!!! It was indeed mentioned in other reviews. Since I work without an external mouse was me but whatever. Who wants to work with the touchpad I honestly can only advise against the purchase.
-The Cheap plastic exterior and interior attracts fingerprints magically. The notebook looked after unpacking already totally "groped" from.
- To put all ports to the left, I find not so great, but you can live with it. Two !!!! USB ports is of course a joke, no USB hub you will be as fast unhappy.
-Battery Life now just under 2.5 hours that I had no right as demanded performance.

Conclusion: For me, top, because the notebook is pretty fast and I use an external keyboard, mouse, USB hub and monitor to two workstations and the laptop between the two just back and hertrage. For office applications, Web and 'NEN film look absolutely good for this low price. Who needs some quality or flotteres (Games), which is definitely not happy with this part and must rather look so from 599 euros. But I basically get exactly what I expected at this price therefore 4 stars (I have one for the botched touchpad deduct) ....
