The tooth cleaning by means of ultrasound (micro cleaning) work, in contrast to conventional scrubbing by hand, rotating or sonic toothbrush (macro cleaning) without mechanical cleaning movement simply by the teeth keep the bristles. It feels and you usually do not hear anything, because ultrasound uses frequencies outside of human perception - at the Emmi there are 1,600,000 cycles per second (compared to the Brown comes to 127 rotations per second). These vibrations are transmitted through the brush head, a special ultrasonic toothpaste and saliva on the teeth, tongue and palate. There, they make millions of microbubbles also penetrate into the smallest spaces. Through the ultrasound implode this and resolve impurities, plaque, food particles and bacteria. It should be noted that I am not a representative of the company Emmi, but above information only call in order to avoid any confusion with normal sonic toothbrushes, as they often occur on the Internet. The method of ultrasonic teeth cleaning was me personally completely new and unknown. I myself could not believe these promises and had to try it for yourself. Therefore, now even my personal experiences with the toothbrush in use after reaching 1 month.
Delivery, processing

- Delivered is 1HT, 2 brush heads, 1 charger, 50ml ultrasonic toothpaste, 1 scaler, 2 Färbetabletten, 1 short manual
- The scaler is purely mechanical and not on ultrasound (a type of sandstone to carefully scraping who was not used with me for safety's sake)
- The processing of the toothbrush itself is pretty standard for a German product - cheapest plastic meets bulky design. I can only hope that they will last longer than it looks
- The HT has a relatively wobbly button on and off and an LED that lights up when it is "ON" or if it is loaded
- The HT has not, as with other electric toothbrushes a Schwinkungsüberträger but only 2 power contacts, to which the head part is inserted with the integrated ultrasound transmitter (but careful because this is a little stiff and can in daily change fast times "make Knack" )
Handling

- Before first use, the toothbrush needs to be charged 12 hours, and then, depending on the application time 7-14 days ready
- Since the charge indicator is signaled by a red light and after the charging time does not go out, it's hard for me to say whether the charger automatically jumps to trickle charge or the NiMH battery from overcharging happy - since the brown is more advanced
- The cleaning itself is fairly simple and does not cause any inconvenience - not even with sensitive gums and seals. Brushes shortly moisten with water, some ultrasonic toothpaste on it and distribute it on the teeth without scrubbing. Turn the power on and successively just slightly 5-10 seconds to keep the teeth (only the inside, then outside - each getting 2-3 teeth with one). If desired also on the tongue. A complete passage takes me an average of 3-4 minutes. Although ultrasound is not noticeable yet audible, the toothbrush vibrates slightly. It has for this purpose an extra motor to only inform the user that runs the toothbrush straight.
Result
----------
- Here the toothbrush can score on the board. The teeth, between teeth, tongue, palate are felt purely (with accompanying Färbetabletten visually comprehensible)
- My tongue has been using this toothbrush free of plaque and beautiful rosy - a bit unusual, if one due to the antibacterial effect of ultrasound to 8 hours of sleep has no bad breath)
- After 2 weeks my gums actually seems to be a little harder and no longer bleeds
Follow-up costs

- The use of a special ultrasonic toothpaste is mandatory because the dentifrice microbubbles will not work - the cost of this is around 4 for 75ml
- The replacement brushes cost about as much as you the brown (about 4 / piece) and will hold three months despite integrated ultrasonic transducer
Conclusion

I am surprised that this kind of tooth cleaning has not yet supplanted the conventional scrubbing. Perhaps it is because the procedure is still relatively new and the unknown among the toothbrush manufacturers. Me too surprising that most information on the Internet, come from the fingers of marketing professionals and not by reputable journalists. Nevertheless, negative on ultrasound toothbrush I could not find on the Internet nor find through self-tests. The advantages are obvious, so I stay with the ultrasound and I hope that this very expensive machine money is worth staying. I will of course problems and drawbacks, which have not yet occurred to me until now, later post.

After about 4 months of use to me a good piece after night charge refused to use (no hum, vibrate, lights etc.) and became the warranty. After a short telephone conversation with the manufacturer, I packed handset, charging unit and a copy of the purchase receipt and sent as an insured package directly to EMAG. A week later I received a brand new replacement brush of the new generation (where the indicator light only burns when contact with the brush head is and this also works) - thank you for pointing to Michael Schulz. In return for the postage costs incurred to me assured me toothpaste - but I got the new Emmi the complete package, so in addition to toothpaste also 2 new brush heads, 2 Färbetabletten and the scaler - really good. Now of course we can only hope that the new by, lasts substantially longer. As long as this is the case I stand by my 5 star rating.
