The story of "the pharaoh" Hatshepsut

The story of "the pharaoh" Hatshepsut

The Lady of the Nile (Paperback)

Customer Review

This exciting novel tells the story of the true Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled over Egypt after his father, the great Thutmose I. Obviously, Pauline Gedge romance story, but the basis is historical. This is the same type of book that can not "read idiot" and learn how being entertained. It makes us close to the characters having existed without ever getting bored. Although the customs of the Egyptian court may seem shocking (brothers marry their sister, they kill without remorse, etc ...), it has a passion for intrigue and the fate of the characters.

After reading this book, I read "The Children of the Sun" by the same author (pharaoh Amenhotep the IV - Akhenaten), before plunging into the book "Egypt is in the Louvre" by Daniel Soulie, serious work but quite exciting too.
