Sawing guitar melodies can be heard at the beginning, then losgeholzt properly. From the start, I like this album. Again and again, there are tempo changes, efforts are being made to change. The opener Devils Blood makes this clear. A hateful voice flings the listener against sinister lyrics. This is not without its charm. This band lives of the great guitar melodies that are as cold and dark as the dark forests of the north. The following Black Salvation are here and there views threshed properly groovy rhythms, it sounds fabulous. From time to time the voice soars, inspired by grandiose melodies in the background, to the majestic heights up. Opus Dei is indeed mighty and majestic therefore. Every now and then stepping on the gas pedal, but before this could be too much, the speed is greatly reduced. Here simply has a very special charm of each title. There is no failure number. Every song of this album lives from a scary light blazing, internal fire, which is brought to bear by the glossy vocals and the guitars. Watain show what they have everything on it. You can not only dull and muffled thud-dumms-bang-rattling-klirr-screaming, but they cover the range of Black Metal from almost complete. Man is racing, you brake, it yells and swears you grooving and droning, and you hate. Danielsson's vocals appear here more diverse and sophisticated than it was on the previous album. Sometimes he stands out from the monotonous screeching and screaming it happening, that the emotions he put into the vocals, fully buys him. The guitar lines were even more expanded and now form the fiery core of Watains diabolical sound. Who needs keyboards, if you have a guitarist who can produce more beautiful and more devilish melodies with the guitar. Picking out a face-off tip is difficult. Of the aforementioned, about puzzles Of Flesh up to the theme song every number is a hit for himself. The latter begins with the crack of thunder rumbling and then shows again the whole diversity of the album. Stick passages alternate with epic moments, always penetrated by jangling guitars. Perhaps the best tracks on the album. Watain have evolved and show where it leads her way: to the top. And nowhere else.
