My computer is now 4 years old, inside lies a GTX470, which is overclocked a bit, and an i5 760. Compared to today, quite obsolete hardware, Tomb Raider was just on Ultra (without TressFX) while the PC was neat to blow ( waste heat).
Since I mostly RPG's and games with Dragon Age: Inquisition and Witcher 3 is pending 2 Large of the genre in the near future, had to be a decent hardware.
Then it goes back and forth ... graphics card much more ... better use of hardware ... Mice & Keyboards ... on TV ... to gamble you look again at the question of principle vs. PC Console is.
I chose mainly for the following points for the PS4.
1. Play on the TV
I've always played to 24 "inches, clearly you sit closer but the games are always cinemalistischer and make on a large TV equal more fun.
Of course you can also connect the PC to the TV and an Xbox controller to your PC but honestly ... it's not the same.
2. Software problems copy
The gamble on the computer has changed. The days of purely disk, install on hard drive and play going on are over. Today everything goes through Steam, Origin, Uplay, etc., you can not sell or lend the dude the Games, it must tens updates are installed and even then there is otherwise any problem before you can finally play.
On the PS4 is still as before ... offline Games at least, purely disk, install, los.
And it will still be in a few years.
3. Hardware, cost, price / performance
Here I go a only on the gaming aspect, clearly a PC is more versatile than a console, but much of it is today by Tablet, Smartphone replaced (Internet, mail, etc.)
For the price of a PS4, there is hardly an ordinary PC with which you could play seen in a few years neat. At 800, things look different and at 1200 only? A high-end PC, where the graphics card alone costs as much as a PS4 will always do a better performace. But at what price?
The hardware of a console is better utilized by a multiple than that of a PC. The performance of the PS is compared to the price very acceptable, now watch the games great and the difference for fast PC is marginal. Multiplattfformtitel are also more appropriate to consoles (control etc.)
Furthermore, the PS4 for the performance offered really consumes little power, what it shows on the heat. No comparison to the hot iron in my machine, the ever like headed for the 100Grad.
To me, the PS4, if it is pure and einzigst go about playing, the very clear price / value for money.
