As my old gaming mouse has given up the ghost after many years, had to quickly her replacement. After a short research on the net my Asus ROG Gladius caught my eye. As I always attach importance to the appearance of my equipment and I liked the form & color of Gladius right away, the mouse quickly gave way into my shortlisted. Due to the ensuing benefits I bought the mouse ultimately, what I have no regrets. First of all, the scope of supply and the equipment. The mouse comes in a handy package with gaming typical style and a cool view window through which one can look at the mouse. The great advantage of the viewing window is of course only at the store buying into play but a cool gimmick. When you open the package, you will find of course the mouse itself and various accessories. This includes .. - 1x 2m USB cable (sheathed) - 1x 1m USB cable (rubber) - 1x ROG Bag - 2x OMROM switches - 2x ROG Sticker - 4x sliding feet The delivery is in my eyes more than generous and above all practical! The four Ersatzgleitfüße & the two extra OMROM switches guarantee a high durability of the Gladius. The two different lengths make the mouse cable usable in pretty much every location. On my desktop PC, the computer is relatively far away from the mouse. Moreover, the cable is brought hither behind the table edge. At this point, it makes perfect sense to use the stable and long sheathed cable. This is at the beginning a little stiff, but after a few hours it is flexible, providing the desired mobility mouse and the corresponding protection of the cable. For LAN parties you can simply disconnect the cable, the mouse stashed safely in the bag supplied and any notes with the shorter cables, if, like me, has a laptop and can use no unnecessary clutter while gambling. I had initially worried that I might tear the Micro-USB cable from the socket with jerky movements of the mouse, but at this point the ladies and gentlemen have thought along with ASUS and installed a small switch on the bottom of the mouse, the you have to pull to remove the cable. Otherwise the thing will not budge because no pulling and shaking help class!
From the look and feel of the Gladius I am simply amazed! The mouse illuminates and pulsates in a beautiful red, which goes well with the red of my screen and my ASUS ROG LEDs Maximus IV Hero. The Gladius is really super processed and fits comfortably in your hand. Extended gaming nights are no problem! The plastic mouse feels high-quality and provide in combination with the rubber sides a 1A-Grip! The feet glide very smoothly and pleasantly about my ROG GM50 Mouse. The two thumb buttons and the DPI switch are easily accessible and can be click with a pleasant touch of a button. Just behave the left and right mouse buttons that are curved ergonomically and make a faint clicking sound which is inaudible in TeamSpeak or Skype. I especially like the red illuminated mouse wheel, which feels very very good. A secure grip is pleasantly palpable and can be controlled well. Once connected to the computer, the Gladius as with Windows 7 installed automatically and is used within seconds ready needed no drivers or additional software. Who wish to customize the hot keys or mouse DPI numbers, can be the ASUS page easy the appropriate software to download and play around with it. For my part I get along very well from the default settings of the mouse. The 6,400 dpi in combination with the 1000Hz polling rate make for a very good scan and make precise work and gaming possible.
All in all, the Asus ROG Gaming Mouse Gladius really cut a fine figure! She has not only technically correct what on the box, but also looks super chic and is processed wonderful. I do not regret buying the mouse can only every friend! The price is totally fine, the price / performance ratio is fully in my eyes!
